REGIS PHILBIN’s widow, Joy, remains consumed by grief nearly two years after his death — and friends fear she has lost the will to go on without him!
“Joy says her life feels empty with Regis no longer around,” snitches an insider. “She’s just never gotten over his death!”
The TV legend died from a heart attack July 24, 2020, at 88 — just one month shy of his 89th birthday — ending 50 years of wedded bliss with Joy, now 81. Sources say the couple’s daughters, Joanna, 49, and J.J., 47, have made frequent trips to Joy’s sprawling home in Greenwich, Conn., in an attempt to cheer her up, but they cannot seem to pull her out of her depression.
“She’s still grieving for him and is listless since he left us,” dishes a source. “She’s despondent and rarely leaves the house anymore. “That’s not the Joy everybody knows and loves!”
