Charles & Camilla SAVE FACE WITH ROYAL TOUCH-UP! amilla WITH CH-UP!
Sport newly glowing skin ahead of taking throne
POMPOUS Prince Charles and wife Camilla paid a king’s ransom to spruce up their sagging mugs, so they’ll look fresh-faced on the throne when his monarch mom, Queen Elizabeth, finally kicks the bucket, sources squeal.
“They’ve spent a small fortune. They’re doing all they can to look younger and less worn out. Camilla, especially, has been a regular at the surgeon’s office,” spills a palace insider.
Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cornwall may soon snag their coveted crowns as king and queen consort as ailing Elizabeth, 96, is appearing in public less and less due to ongoing mobility issues.
And in the meantime, the tipster claims vain Charles,
73, and Camilla, 74, are doing all they can to turn back the hands of time!
“His and her love of gin, wine and whiskey are no secret. But they’ve been making efforts to ease up on the booze and focus on their appearances for coronation day,” confides the insider.
The deep-pocketed Prince of Wales, who is said to suffer from the skin-reddening condition rosacea, has also been splashing out thousands on expensive balms, dishes the spy.
“Charles is into his creams, and no one would be surprised if he’s using makeup to smooth out the age spots on his face and hands,” according to the insider. Meanwhile, the source snitches image-conscious Camilla — who finally married Charles in 2005 after being the future king’s sidepiece during his doomed marriage to tragic Princess Diana — has been “more adventurous” in her efforts.
The mole whispers, “Everyone’s noticed how much smoother her skin looks. She had a facelift a while back and has been getting other subtle cosmetic perks as well.”
Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Robert H. Cohen, who hasn’t treated Camilla, tells The National ENQUIRER he believes the dowdy duchess may have had a “mid facelift.”
He explains, “The beauty of a facelift is that it goes underneath the skin and you pull it up, to get the skin more refreshed. It was subtle for her age. It appears they didn’t pull it way back.
“My guess is she’s had a combined procedure — a facelift with perhaps some work on the lips and the eyes. She may have had a laser treatment for her overall skin tone. It also appears she may have had an upper and lower blepharoplasty — to remove excess skin around her lower eyes and eyelids. That would give her eyes a more refreshed look.”
