CHER GIVES DIANA SUPREME STINK EYE!

Old rivalry flares after Ross’ Jubilee show

-

SCORNED Cher’s decades-long rivalry with diva Diana Ross kicked into overdrive after The Supremes icon performed at Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee concert — and the Oscar-winning pop star didn’t, tipsters spill. The Motown legend, 78, closed out the Buckingham Palace show celebrating the beloved British monarch’s 70 years on the throne, and an insider dishes snooty Cher, 76, was “miffed” about not being asked to join the A-list lineup, which also featured Rod Stewart, Elton John, Andrea Bocelli and Alicia Keys.

“Seeing Diana strut her stuff at the Jubilee was tough for Cher to take,” squeals a source.

“In Cher’s way of thinking, it would’ve been nice to be invited since she’s the grande dame of Hollywood, not Diana. The only one who could best her is Barbra Streisand, but Barbra apparently wasn’t up for the job.

“Besides, Cher looks great, her pitch is still high frequency, and she’s as sprightly as she always was.” Spies snitch the women’s bad blood stretches back to the ’80s when they competed for the heart of KISS frontman Gene Simmons — and the If I Could Turn Back Time rocker lost!

“Cher was so in love with Gene. They were living together and everything, and then suddenly he was leaving her for Diana. He talks about it openly, like it’s all water under the bridge and no big deal. But it’s still very much a big deal for Cher. She’s still extremely bitter,” tattles the source.

“What really hurt Cher is she considered Diana a true friend. They were very close until Diana stabbed her in the back.

“Cher still talks about what could have been, if Diana hadn’t come along and stolen Gene. She’s never forgiven her for it. So, of course, it burns seeing Diana getting this highprofile gig!”
