Hitting the road again but desperate to keep marriage from dying of neglect
COUNTRY cutie Carrie Underwood has hit a speed bump in her nearly 12year marriage to Mike Fisher and insiders tell The National ENQUIRER she desperately needs to spice things up before her upcoming tour — because the two don’t do well during time apart!
“They’re not at crisis point, but they’re not at their best either, and her friends are telling her she needs to focus on her marriage before she heads out on the road,” spills a pal.
Carrie, 39, begins her Denim & Rhinestones tour in October and will be working at a furious pace for seven long months — and then she’ll hit Vegas for another leg of her residency! “Work is a huge priority for Carrie. She’s extremely driven but also determined to hang on to her marriage — and she’s acknowledged to friends she needs to put in the effort with Mike,” snitches the pal. “They’re making plans for date nights and family time with their boys while figuring out how they’re going to handle her being away for weeks at a time.”
Carrie and her retired NHL hubby, 42, share Isaiah, 7, and Jacob, 3. Although the workaholic songbird is begging Mike to join her on tour and bring the family, he’s not into it, tattles the tipster!
“The kids are getting older and they need stability and Mike’s not too enthused about living out of a suitcase for seven months,” snipes the spy.
As ENQUIRER readers know, when the Just As I Am singer went on tour in 2019, it pushed her marriage to the limit.
“Mike ended up feeling very neglected, they were fighting all the time, it was really hard on their relationship — so of course her friends are worried this tour will put their marriage in jeopardy again," blabs a tipster.
“But they’re committed to trying to work things out!”
