MAN-HUNGRY Martha Stewart has been raising eyebrows with tasteless jokes about wanting her friends to die so that she can date their husbands!
The National ENQUIRER has learned the 80-year-old domestic diva doesn’t have many men to choose from after driving people away with her self-obsessed ways. “Martha has a tight group of ‘yes’ people kissing up to her, but her older friends are kind of fed up with how self-absorbed and needy she’s been of late, men included,” spills an insider.
“She’s hyper-controlling and consumed by work. Then there are the endless selfies and cries for attention that don’t exactly make her much of a catch for the guys she goes after.”
Martha’s monstrous ego seems to leave little room for her to love anyone but herself! “Even if she does get someone interested, she talks about herself so much that the guy switches off and never bothers to call her again,” continues the source. “She’s a ‘me’ person and that’s never a good way to hook a man.”
She also may be aiming too low — in age!
“Martha’s other problem is that she has ludicrously high expectations of the guys she can attract,” explains the insider. “She figures hot young 30-something model types should be lucky to squire her to a restaurant or enjoy a booty call. Even though she looks great for 80, it’s just not realistic.” Martha really put her foot in her mouth on Chelsea Handler’s podcast, Dear Chelsea. The ex-convict shockingly admitted it was
occasionally “very tempting” to have a fling with husbands of her friends.
“I had two mad crushes in the last month, which is really good for me,” she said. “But it turns out, you know, one of them is married to the mother of some friends of mine … I always think, ‘Oh, gosh, couldn’t that person just die?’ Not painfully, just die.”
Martha may have just been kidding, but no one’s laughing. “Even Martha’s jokes are self-centered,” says the insider. “It’s a dish that leaves a bad taste in just about everyone’s mouth, except Martha’s, of course.”
