BARACK & MICHELLE BICKERING OVER SPEND-CRAZY KIDS

But the girls are just like Daddy

-

BIG spenders Malia and Sasha Obama have inherited their famous father’s love of luxury, and sources say it’s driving a fresh wedge between parents Michelle and Barack, whose bickering has intensified since the girls relocated to L.A. Harvard grad Malia, 24, has been hitting all the hotspots when not working as a writer for singer and filmmaker Donald Glover — and now

Sasha, 21, has transferred from the University of Michigan to the University of Southern California to get in on the action! Sources snitch both girls have been giving the former POTUS and first lady grief as they spend like there’s no tomorrow.

born with silver spoons in their mouths, it just evolved as their parents got more powerful,” spills an insider. “Now the girls are in L.A. and hanging with a real spendy crowd. They eat at the most expensive restaurants, drop thousands on spas and beauty salons. Their generous allowances evaporate almost as soon as they get it, and they charge tons to credit cards!” Sources dish Michelle, 58, is “livid” about it but gets little support from the former prez, 61, who many say exhibits the same spendthrift gene!

“He’ll drop cash on new suits, custom shirts, cuff links and shoes. He can’t walk into a clothing store without buying something in every color,” confides a source. As The National ENQUIRER has reported, spies tattle their marriage has weathered storms since the White House days — but now an insider says the girls’ spending “is on top of the grievance list.”

AMERICA is caught in the jaws of a frightening summer shark frenzy as ravenous maneaters have viciously mauled swimmers up and down the Atlantic Seaboard and the Pacific coast!

Just halfway through summer, there have already been 24 bloody shark attacks by massive sea monsters — including Jaws-sized great whites — leaving beachgoers with good reasons to be terrified to go into the water. The International Shark Attack File compiled by the Florida Museum of Natural History reports a whopping 64 percent of the world’s shark attacks occurred in the U.S. — and other experts warn it may only get worse! Scientists claim the rise in attacks on humans is partially due to cleaner waters.

“We have a more conserved ocean so there is more food, which means there are more predators,” says Greg Metzger, field coordinator for the South Fork Natural History Museum & Nature Center’s Shark Research and Education Program in Long Island, N.Y. Early last month, the Florida Keys’ crystal blue waters turned red when 35-year-old Dallas vacationer Lindsay Bruns was mauled by a shark as she swam in ten feet of water, leaving her leg ripped to shreds from hip to knee. She spent more than a week in a hospital undergoing multiple surgeries, and family members say doctors are hopeful she’ll eventually regain most leg function.

Just days later in California’s Monterey Bay, a monstrous 15-foot great white snatched a 62-year-old swimmer in its powerful jaws 150 yards offshore. The finned horror started dragging him to the bottom of the ocean — but amazingly spit him out! He still suffered massive injuries to his stomach and leg. A staggering five attacks rocked New York in July alone.

In a desperate bid to protect swimmers, state agencies

boats, drones and choppers to prowl the coastlines to scout out sharks — a scene straight out of Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster Jaws.

Long Island surfer Shawn Donnelly was forced to fight for his life when a shark sank its razor-sharp teeth into his leg only 40 feet from shore. He pounded the rampaging beast in the face to get him to release its deadly grip.

“The shark ambushed me,” says Shawn, 41. “It came up from the sandbar like a torpedo. Next thing I knew the shark knocked me off my board.”

Luckily, Shawn was able to climb back onto his board and catch a lifesaving wave to escape the predator. He says, “I have never been more scared in my entire life!”

In a blood-curdling attack days later, a 49-year-old tourist from landlocked Tucson, Ariz., was ambushed by a shark just a few miles from Donnelly’s ordeal.

The tourist was swimming about 50 yards offshore when a tiger shark grabbed his hand and buttocks, leaving him gushing blood and helpless. He was rescued by his 16-year-old nephew, who pulled him back to shore. He was then flown by chopper to a hospital, where he needed over 100 stitches to close his wounds.

The week before, 33-year-old lifeguard Zach Gallo had his right hand and chest shredded by a shark in chin-deep water off another Long Island beach. “Zach punched the shark three times to get it off of him,” his aunt-in-law Barbara

Wright tells The National ENQUIRER exclusively. “The shark flipped and bit him again, and then took off.” In 2020, drone footage captured a school of sharks circling unsuspecting swimmers just 100 yards off California’s Manresa Beach in Santa Cruz. Similar footage was shot off Huntington Beach, which lies just south of Los Angeles. Massive meateaters are also prowling off Massachusetts’ Cape Cod in search of seals and other prey. Scientists blame the increasing numbers of bloody attacks on an increase of seals — the great white’s favorite meal — drawing the killers closer to the beaches, where they can mistake swimmers and surfers for the playful sea mammals. Metzger warns swimmers to steer clear of large schools of fish and other wildlife while in the ocean or risk becoming shark bait.

“If you’re surrounded by a lot of animals, get out of the water because dolphins, whales and birds may be chasing the same group of fish the sharks are,” he says. “Standing in the middle of a school of fish will increase your odds of coming face to face with a hungry shark!”
