Zeltiq Aesthetics mauled her magnificent mug and caused pain elsewhere on her body in 2016 after she experienced a rare reaction to their signature CoolSculpting procedure, which she says created “the opposite of what it promised” — hard lumps and painful bumps instead of a streamlined contour!
“I look forward to the next chapter,” says the runway royalty after putting the court dispute behind her. She’s getting back to work after six years as a virtual recluse. Once one of the most sought-after mannequins in the business, Linda claims after developing paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH) — a rare reaction to the process of killing off fat cells by freezing them — she fell “into a cycle of deep depression, profound sadness, and the lowest depths of selfloathing.”
Zeltiq markets and licenses devices for the cosmetic procedure — and insisted the model knew the risks when she had the procedure. However, the firm did not comment on the settlement.
Although Linda claimed in her suit designers would never work with her again because her new lumps were “sticking out of my body,” she plunged right back after the settlement into a photo shoot for Italian luxury house Fendi.
