Ashlee Simpson, then 19, was busted lip-syncing during her 2004 performance on SNL — and her singing career was never the same! The kid sister of Jessica Simpson first did her hit Pieces of Me — but the tune replayed as she began the next song. The panicked pop star did a jig, which worsened the cringe-worthy catastrophe, then walked off!
Initially she blamed the band, but later said she was dealing with acid reflux and had used a backing track to bolster her vocals. Ashlee, 37, says, “I made a complete fool of myself.”
