LEGAL EAGLE SAVES DEATH ROW DOGS!

-

EVERY dog has its day — in court, thanks to a lawyer who specializes in plucking pooches off Death Row! Whether it’s the 120-pound Nevada mastiff named Onion who killed his owner’s baby or Buddy the Connecticut golden retriever who mowed down an older woman, legal bulldog Richard Rosenthal can get springer spaniels sprung and puppies out of prison, where they otherwise get euthanized for their misdeeds!

Rosenthal left family and criminal law to found the nonprofit Lexus Project with wife Robin Mittasch. There, the doggie defender takes on legal tugs-of-war over misbehaving mutts who are condemned to die. He hounds the court until he gets ruff justice — and in the case of Buddy, even resorted to using Holocaust death-camp imagery to make his point that bowsers don’t deserve to be butchered for acting according to their doggie nature with no malice intended. “In my cases, there is a dog or cat that’s going to die if I don’t win,” says Rosenthal, who believes in playing hardball if it will fetch a victory. “So, to me, I need to win the case.”

But he says most of his 20 to battles over pets during divorces.
