ROCKER DEPP WON’T BE SINGING AMBER’S PRAISES!
VENGEFUL Johnny Depp’s new album, 18, may be a flop on the charts but The National ENQUIRER can reveal the self-proclaimed rock star is not giving up his musical aspirations — and may be plotting to pen a revenge record about his messy war with ex-wife Amber Heard!
The album was recorded over three years, mostly before Depp’s highprofile legal battles against Heard, but even guitar god Jeff Beck’s added ax failed to stoke its dismal sales — although sources snitch the defeat will not deter him. “Johnny has a ton of support in the rock ’n’ roll community,” tattles a tipster. “They say he’s one hell of a talent and the next step is to write and sing about his life!”
The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 59, loves to perform with his band Hollywood Vampires — and would rather strum his guitar than strut before the cameras, according to longtime friend Alice Cooper. “Johnny gets up there and plays his butt off,” the rocker said in 2019 in praise of his pal’s tuneful talents. “People are really surprised when they hear him play.” Johnny and his 36-year-old Aquaman ex continue to battle over mutual claims of defamation and abuse. Both are appealing judgments against them in a bitter war of oneupmanship.
“The upside is he’ll have lots of material for a good angry album!” tattles a tipster.
