KELLY CLARKSON has called a shocking truce in her white-hot war with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock — leaving pals speculating the former lovebirds could get back together!
In a dramatic twist to their bitter divorce battle, the 40-year-old singer, talk host and The Voice mentor spent a happy chunk of the summer with Blackstock, 45, and their kids, River, 8, and Remington, 6, at her Montana ranch.
Kelly reveals, “The kids were with me and with their dad. It was nice. I think my kids felt more centered as well.” An insider tells The National ENQUIRER the family togetherness seems to have triggered love sparks in Kelly for Brandon. “You get the serious impression her heart has softened now that the dust has settled on the divorce, and her heart is opening towards him again,” the insider dishes. The reboot follows years of tension since the pair’s savage split in mid-2020 after nearly seven years of marriage, as spiraling spats over money and property spilled into the open and put friends and loved ones squarely in the middle.
As The ENQUIRER previously reported, American Idol alum Kelly openly whined on her daytime talk gig about the toll it was taking on her shattered nerves.
Meanwhile, talent promoter Brandon — whose dad,
Narvel, 65, is divorced from
country queen Reba McEntire — fought for a stake in Kelly’s sprawling $17.8 million ranch, where he squatted despite her protests.
He also stressed her out by forcing her to fork up a whopping $1.3 million cash settlement plus $45,000 monthly child support.
Even worse, his dad Narvel’s management company is also suing Clarkson for millions. But the summer family time seems to have sweetened the bitterness and reawakened Kelly’s old feelings for Brandon.
“Only time will tell if she actually takes him back and if he’s open to that,” shares the insider, adding: “She’s never stopped loving him.”
