CHRISTIAN songbird Amy

Grant cheated death in a terrifying biking accident that left her unconscious and hospitalized for two weeks!

Initial reports said the 61-year-old Angels singer suffered “cuts and abrasions” when she fell after hitting a pothole in Nashville on July

27. But updates revealed she suffered a serious concussion and was out cold for a full ten minutes!

“Amy really dodged a bullet,”

spills a source. “Luckily, she was wearing a helmet because her head took a blow that may have otherwise killed her.” While her manager, Jennifer Cooke, insists Amy is

“getting stronger every day,” sources confide her family was “deeply rattled” by the accident and are watching her recovery “extremely closely.” Meanwhile, promoters announced the postponement of her remaining summer and fall tour dates. Amy’s career is still scheduled to be celebrated at this year’s Kennedy Center Honors.

Her clearly shaken husband, Vince Gill, 65, and their 21-year-old daughter, Corrina, dedicated a showstopping song to her during a recent performance at Nashville’s legendary Ryman auditorium.

“It was a very emotional moment,” notes an insider. “They’re happy they still have her.”
