MAN-HUNGRY MARTHA’S ON HUNT FOR OLD SHOE!
Young studs are flattering at 81 but she refuses to kid herself!
LONELY Martha Stewart was beyond flattered by buzz she was hooking up with Kim Kardashian’s boytoy Pete Davidson — but in real life the 81-year-old lifestyle guru is prowling for a hunk around her age, tipsters tattle.
“Martha and Pete are good friends, but she isn’t one to rob the cradle,” a friend tells The National ENQUIRER. “She hopes to find a man in his 60s or
70s, who’s successful and comfortable in his own skin who will romance her and give her the companionship she desperately wants."
Still, the search hasn’t been easy, partly due to past, heartbreaking disasters, friends say.
Following her bitter divorce from hubby Andrew Stewart, Martha forged a 15-year partnership with billionaire business mogul Charles Simonyi.
The pair got engaged, but in 2008, Simonyi broke things off and weeks later, ran away and married Swedish model Lisa Persdotter, who was 40 years Martha’s junior!
“Martha was incredibly scarred by what she felt was like a betrayal,” a friend says. “To this day, she’s wary of falling in love with a man and then having them trade her in for a younger model!”
The domestic diva’s been on plenty of dates since Charles dumped her, but nothing has really clicked.
She admitted in a July interview she’s had “two mad crushes” recently, but in both cases, the man of her dreams was wed to a gal in her social circle and she wasn’t about to break up a marriage.
“I’ve had the opportunity to be a homewrecker and I have not taken anybody up on it,” Stewart said. “And that’s really where — that’s where I meet men. They’re all married to friends of mine or something like that.”
Still, Martha hasn’t given up hope.
“At her age, Martha has watched her dating pool shrink,” the friend notes. “But she has many friends who are out there scouting for eligible guys for her — who AREN’T married!”
