DEMI’S SUDDEN SWAN SONG HAS PALS HONKING WORRIED!

-

TROUBLED Demi Lovato’s friends are worried sick after the pop superstar shockingly announced she is retiring from performing — at age 30!

The Skyscraper singer was just completing a short concert tour of

South America when she abruptly posted on Instagram Sept. 13, “I can’t do this anymore. My next tour will be my last.”

The surprise announcement sounded alarm bells among loved ones of the former child star, who has suffered from bulimia and attention deficit order. She also has a long history of drug addiction, including a 2018 opioid overdose that nearly killed her.

“Demi is so young, and she should have so many great things in store for her life,” a friend tells The National ENQUIRER. “So when she announces she’s giving up the stage, you really fear for her well-being.”

Another friend notes that Demi “fought hard” to regain her sobriety after her near-fatal overdose, but now her friends are afraid her old demons will come back to haunt her.

Demi was jeered when she announced she was “California sober” in April 2021, meaning she was drinking and using pot in moderation. She changed her tune eight months

later after completing a third stint in rehab, announcing she was now “sober sober.”

But her talk of retirement has sparked new concerns. “If Demi feels the world is getting too much for her and she needs to give up her performing career at such a young age, you just fear that she’s in a very desperate state,” says the second pal. “With this announcement, you start worrying that she’s going to withdraw into herself, and her old destructive habits are going to resurface. “Everyone who loves Demi is rooting for her. Maybe she just needs another intervention by her friends to try to get her right again.”
