BATTY BOARDWALK ALUM BAGGED IN NEW FREAK-OUT

MANIC Michael Pitt was strapped to a stretcher and hauled off to a hospital when the bonkers Boardwalk Empire actor had a public meltdown in the Big Apple — two months after getting busted at the same location, sources squeal. Lawmen say witnesses called 911 to report the disheveled TV tough guy was throwing objects at people.

Barefoot Pitt, 41, was apprehended by officers and taken to a medical facility — but he wasn’t charged with a crime and was declared an emotionally disturbed person, sources dish.

The crazed star had a run-in with NYC police in the same neighborhood in July. He was slapped with assault and petty larceny charges after allegedly punching a man in the head and taking his phone!

Pitt played villain James “Jimmy” Darmody for two seasons on the HBO crime drama — before his gangster character was whacked in 2011.
