AFRIGHTENING burglary is driving Mariah Carey from her Atlanta-area mansion!
Sources say the 53-year-old All I Want for Christmas Is You songbird no longer feels safe in her home and has listed the property for a cool $6.5 million just weeks after an intruder ransacked it.
“The break-in rattled her,” dishes an insider. “She’s still feeling violated and can’t shake the horrible images of some stranger going through her personal belongings.
“She doesn’t feel safe sleeping in a place where she’s fearful it could happen again. It’s an unsettling scenario she just can’t get past.”
As The National ENQUIRER previously reported, a single burglar, now charged, targeted Mariah’s manse in June while she was on vacation in Italy and the Hamptons.
Now sources say the Grammy-winning singer — along with her home-schooled 11-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan — are seeking a new place to call home.
“She does love it in Aspen and could see a situation where she’d live in that area at least part of the year,” blabs the insider. “Or maybe a ranch in Colorado, or even a different part of Georgia. She’s excited for a fresh challenge and doesn’t want to dwell on the break-in ordeal.”
