Her kids demand arrest, but cops pooh-pooh them
TALK about a pissy attitude! A New Jersey man harboring a serious grudge against his late ex-wife was caught on camera desecrating her grave by repeatedly urinating on her final resting place — 48 years after their divorce, says the woman’s disgusted family. “I felt like getting out and killing him,” admits son Michael Andrew Murphy, who says he witnessed the wizzer of odd in the act!
Garden State native Linda Torello, 66, was buried in the cemetery at Tappan Reformed Church just over the state line in neighboring New York following her 2017 cancer death. But her furious kids say someone refused to let her rest in peace!
Murphy and sister Renee Eichler Barragan first found a plastic bag packed with poop on their mom’s grave in April and assumed it was left behind by a careless dogwalker. However, when they discovered a second foul package, they raised a stink with police!
Determined to flush out the culprit themselves, the family received permission from the cemetery to set up a hidden camera. Murphy says their footage revealed Torello’s ex-hubby taking a leak on the grave — while his current wife waited in their car!
Wanting a clearer shot to bring to lawmen, Murphy and Barragan set up a cellphone on another tombstone and hid nearby — and say they saw the foul behavior of their mom’s ex with their own eyes! The sickened son claims their recordings show the disgruntled guy visiting on four consecutive mornings to shower his former spouse with contempt!
The Orangetown Police Department confirms they issued a summons for urinating in public to Dean Eichler, 68, Barragan’s estranged birth father.
Murphy says his mother and Eichler were married for a year and adds, “They had a bad breakup.”
Now, Torello’s loved ones are pressing for more charges. Cemetery desecration in
New York can be prosecuted if damages exceed $250. Murphy claims Eichler met the threshold as the family had to hire a hazmat company to remove his mother’s urinesoaked grave decorations and have her headstone professionally cleaned.
“Guess he is still mad at my mother and decided payback,” says Barragan.
