FOXX IN THE DOGHOUSE OVER COSTLY MOVIE DUD
JAMMED-UP Jamie Foxx stocked his unreleased movie All-Star Weekend with an all-star cast — including Robert Downey Jr., Gerard Butler and Eva Longoria — but they haven’t helped him get it sold, and sources snitch to The National ENQUIRER it’s looking like an expensive and embarrassing dud for the Foxx-ster!
“This has been Jamie’s passion project for five years now, and he called in every favor in the book to get his friends to take significant roles at reduced rates,” spills an insider.
“But film executives say it’s not very good and will be tough to place on streaming — let alone somehow get it into theaters!”
Sources tattle that early viewers say the comedy just isn’t funny, and the decision to cast Downey in a race-bending role as an over-the-top Mexican character has everybody scratching their heads. “Jamie is a veteran entertainer and Oscar winner who has been making hit movies for decades, which is why this mess has so many people reeling in disbelief,” snitches a spy.
“As of right now, no company has stepped up with an offer that will earn Jamie back the considerable investment he personally put into the movie. It’s not a good situation for something that was supposed to be a fun-loving romp!”
