COLOSSAL CAT IS ONE FOR THE RECORDS!
Soft kitty, warm kitty, TALLEST ball of fur!
AMONSTER mouser in Michigan was named the world’s tallest living domestic cat — clocking in at an astonishing 18.83 inches!
Colossal kitty Fenrir Antares, who’s just two years old, has clawed his way into the Guinness World Records book.
“He just grew and grew like Clifford the Big Red Dog,” says owner Will Powers, citing the beloved fictional pooch. Amazingly, the phenomenal feline may get even larger. The tremendous tabby is a Savannah — a lanky breed that’s a cross between a domestic cat and the largeeared wild African serval.
Powers, a kitty rescuer, physician and HIV specialist, owns six cats and lives just northwest of Detroit. He adopted Fenrir, a.k.a. Fen, when he was just 12 weeks old and often brings the fourlegged rascal to his office to help calm stressed patients.
However, frisky Fen can be purr-fectly mischievous, standing on his hind legs to open doors with his paws and steal snacks from countertops!
“We have to limit his food now because he’s getting too big,” Powers admits.
Fen’s size can intimidate some folks, but he adds, “Once I explain that he’s a therapy cat and very friendly, people are thrilled to walk up to him!”
