TEDDI’S CANCER HORROR!
HOUSEWIVES alum Teddi Mellencamp is bravely facing another bout of skin cancer — a stage 2 melanoma on her back! “Melanoma awareness update,” the 41-year-old daughter of rocker John Mellencamp posted on Instagram beneath a photo of a bandage on her back, not far from a pink scar. “They said I had another abnormal spot near my last one so they did a biopsy. I got the call this morning: Stage 2 melanoma.”
She revealed her plans to have an oncologist remove it “and come up with a game plan on next steps.” Teddi’s dad, 71, has his own history of health woes — including a youthful indulgence in drugs and booze and a heart attack at age 42.
“Moral of this story: if a doctor says, ‘come in every 3 months’ please go in every 3 months,” Teddi advises her followers. “I so badly wanted to blow this off. ‘What could happen in 3 months?’ I thought. Apparently a lot!”
