WARRING PARIS & JANET FIND THEIR RHYTHM AGAIN
PETTY Paris Jackson and her iconic aunt Janet Jackson finally have each other’s backs instead of being at each other’s throats! Janet, 56, called 24-year-old Paris “my beautiful niece” as the pair met up and chatted lovingly at a fashion week party in Paris Oct. 5. Sources noted their love fest is a far cry from the bad family blood that boiled between them after the tragic death in 2009 of Paris’s dad, Michael.
“It took a long time, but Paris and Janet have made their peace,” reveals a friend. The war erupted in 2012 when then 14-year-old Paris got into a scrap over her dad’s will and hurled accusations that the family was keeping her grandmother Katherine Jackson away from her! Janet allegedly slapped her niece in a brouhaha that became heated enough that police had to visit the scene!
The icy relationship continued into
2018, when Janet excluded Paris from the family guest list when she performed at the Billboard Music Awards in honor of the late King of Pop.
“Paris had some growing up to do, and Janet admits she didn’t handle the feelings of a young teen that had lost her dad as well as she should have,” dishes another pal.
“But they love each other once again!” Paris still holds grudges against some family members, reports an insider, adding that 92-year-old granny Katherine is coaxing her to make nice.
“Katherine is in her final days and just longs to see her whole family united before she passes!”
