WITCHY Whoopi Goldberg coldly stabbed pal Kathy Najimy in the back on national television — and severed their decades-long friendship, sources dish. Kathy, 65, visited The View to chat about her latest film, Hocus Pocus 2, with the daytime show’s panelists — including Whoopi, her co-star in two Sister Act comedies. Then she waxed nostalgic about the ’90s box-office hits and admitted it would be “a blast” to do a third.
But tipsters say Kathy was stunned when her former castmate suddenly announced
a sequel was already in the works! Sources spill Kathy, who knew nothing about the upcoming project, was further shocked when Whoopi, 66, revealed Tyler Perry was tapped to produce — and a script was expected in weeks! An insider squeals, “Kathy was completely blindsided and betrayed by Whoopi, who was supposed to be her friend.
“It was humiliating for her to find out she’d been cut out that way, and Whoopi almost seemed delighted to drop the bomb like that!” Sources dish when the cameras stopped, the fuming actress stormed out of the studio without saying another word!
