YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU!

Dick Van Dyke, 96, giving away cash!

-

MERRY Mary Poppins legend Dick Van Dyke may be a fragile 96, but he’s making every moment count by spreading the joy — and the wealth — on his increasingly rare outings, The National ENQUIRER can reveal. Vibrant Van Dyke was spotted handing out cash at the Malibu Community Labor Exchange in California. “Whenever I have some fives, I come by,” he says. “You can’t do it all the time, though!”

One of the grateful job seekers proclaimed him an “angel from God,” and a source adds: “Dick isn’t looking for praise. He just likes to make people happy. He goes out to the shelter regularly and it makes him feel good to share what he’s got. He says if everyone did that, no one would be needy!” Others confide that age is catching up with the songand-dance legend — but it doesn’t hold him back.

“Dick’s pretty wobbly — he’s terribly thin and hunched over and his eyes are watery — but he still works out at the gym almost every day, lifting light weights and maybe doing a slow walk on the treadmill with his trainer nearby.”

His second wife and former makeup artist, Arlene Silver, 51, usually accompanies him, sources say.

“Arlene is there for moral support and also to make sure he gets in and out the door okay,” confides an insider. “Dick knows he doesn’t have much time left, but he’s making the most of what he’s got.

“His incredible kindness and selflessness make up for whatever strength he’s lost!”
