AS HER business empire crumbles at an alarming rate, sources say fallen TV talk show queen Ellen DeGeneres now fears her marriage to Portia de Rossi will also collapse and leave her with nothing!
The onetime superstar, 64, is said to be clinging to Portia, 49, suffocating her longsuffering partner.
“Ellen is devoting all of her attention to her relationship with Portia right now, and that’s a recipe for disaster,” snitches an insider. “Portia always said she wanted more time with Ellen. However, now she’s finding this nervous clinginess really stifling.” Ellen built her empire on kindness, but that nice image was shattered after she was exposed for harboring a toxic workplace.
“Ellen spent the last two decades building bridges to her fans and businesses to support them, and almost all of that has evaporated in the past year,” explains the insider.
Most recently, rising pop star Charlie Puth claimed Ellen ghosted him after signing him to her now-defunct record label eleveneleven in 2010, adding another black mark.
“Ellen is desperately holding on to the last thing she really has, and that’s her marriage,” says the insider. “But a lot of people believe she’s holding on to that a little too hard.”
