DRUNKEN CAMILLA BANISHED TO REHAB!
Hubby King Charles orders her to dry out to avoid humiliation at his coronation
BOOZING Queen Consort Camilla was secretly forced into a posh rehab facility — 5,000 miles away from London — in hopes King Charles’ wife can dry out before his May coronation and avoid further humiliation to the monarchy, palace sources tell The National ENQUIRER in a world exclusive. After Camilla fell off the wagon and launched a ginfueled reign of terror following Queen Elizabeth’s Sept. 8 death at 96, she was quickly packed off to the exclusive $4,000-a-day Soukya center near Bangalore, India, a highlevel courtier says. There, the new monarch’s 75-year-old wife will be expected to sober up for the EIGHTH time. “From the moment she became Queen Consort and learned she was to be crowned alongside Charles next May, she became a monster,” says the courtier. “No one was safe from her tirades!
“After a few gin and tonics or glasses of wine, there was no reasoning with her. As far as she was concerned, Camilla ruled!”
Furious son-in-law William, death was intense and he understood why she turned to alcohol for comfort,” says the courtier. “But she was out of control and needed to sober up!
“Camilla was outraged! But Charles sided with his son and told her if she didn’t get help, he would refuse to allow her to be crowned alongside him. “Camilla is the love of Charles’ life but he won’t stand for anything — or anyone — jeopardizing his role as king. He’s waited decades for this!
“In an instant, he packed Camilla off to Soukya for ten days, warning her to banish the booze before she came back!
“She arrived Oct. 21 under a strict veil of secrecy.”
Before being shipped off, unrepentant Camilla launched a revenge spree against Prince William’s wife, Kate, who she feels is her rival since Charles’ oldest son and daughter-inlaw are next in line for the throne.
“She focused her bitter rants on William’s wife,” says the source. “I’m told conniving Camilla reduced Kate to tears on at least three occasions! “She not only demanded
Kate curtsy to her any time they met, she revealed the budget for the Princess of Wales’ royal wardrobe had been slashed.
“Camilla is so jealous of much younger and beautiful Kate, she persuaded Charles to cut Kate’s wardrobe allowance for outfits she wears to official royal engagements, telling him,
‘She can wear her own handme-downs!’
“It was so cruel. Kate is known for rewearing outfits to cut costs.”
But the targets of her most bitter attack were William and Kate’s children! Camilla slammed George, 9, Charlotte, 6, and Louis, 4, as “spoiled brats whose antics humiliated the royal family during the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations — and her funeral,” says the courtier.
“Kate, I’m told, was devastated by Camilla’s vitriol.”
Camilla has reason to resent Kate.
The late queen almost skipped over Charles and gave the crown to William and Kate. “Now Camilla is hellbent on making sure Kate gets no ideas about replacing her as queen,” notes the insider. “But like many drunks, Camilla is her own worst enemy.”
Charles and William are hoping Camilla’s latest trip to rehab will stick. She’s sobered up — and stayed dry — for extended periods after other visits to the holistic health center. Officially, her eight visits since 2010, including one with Charles, are for rejuvenation therapies, but sources say alcohol detox is the real reason. Camilla and her handlers even tried to visit the clinic last month unannounced — keeping her trip off the royal calendar. Headed by Camilla’s friend, Dr. Isaac Mathai, the residential institute bills itself as the world’s first health destination focusing on “healing, prevention or rejuvenation” and offers individualized treatments to “address issues like addiction.”
Notes another palace insider: “The treatments have worked in the past and Charles is desperately hoping they work again.
“He’s already walking on eggshells awaiting his renegade son Prince Harry’s tell-all exposé about the royal family.
“The last thing he needs are humiliating scenes with a boozed-up wife at his coronation on May 6.”
