HERMIT BULLOCK BLINDSIDES BUDDIES!
SPOOKED Sandra Bullock has turned into a virtual hermit since taking a break from acting earlier this year — and friends are worried sick as she pushes them all away and seems headed for retirement! Sources say the gun-shy Hollywood rom-com queen, 58, has been hiding behind closed doors while raising her two adopted children, Louis, 12, and Laila, 10.
Her romantic status is another worry for loved ones, with recent talk reaching fever pitch that she’s struggling to save her rocky romance with her boyfriend of seven years, photographer Bryan Randall, 55. “Sandra has so many friends who are dying to hear from her but she’s ghosted virtually everyone and totally gone to ground,” reveals an insider.
“It’s just not like her. Even during her toughest of times she’d return calls and at least grab coffee with friends or head out for lunch from time to time.
“It seems like she’s really struggling and has lost that spark and liveliness that’s been the core of her personality. Hollywood seems to have sucked the spirit out of her!”
The Oscar-winning Blind Side burnout announced in June she’s stepping back from movies to spend more time with her kids. “Sandra has been ‘closed for business’ indefinitely since the early summer — and now it’s hit a whole new phase, where she’s rejecting absolutely easy paydays for millions of dollars, and it’s got people wondering what the real problem is here. “People are genuinely worried that she’s veering toward permanent retirement!”
