CARS’ OCASEK DROVE PAULINA INTO GROUND
SUPERMODEL Paulina Porizkova says her insanely jealous rocker husband,
Ric Ocasek, made her life a living hell!
In her startling new memoir, No Filter: The
Good, the Bad and the Beautiful, the Czech-born catwalker, 57, says the late Cars frontman was even suspicious of her gay friends, telling her, “They would turn straight for you.”
“He flew into jealous rages often enough to make me understand how much I mattered to him,” she adds. “Eventually
I gave up all my friends, straight or gay.”
Ric stopped making love to Paulina, prompting her to consult a psychic.
“All I wanted to know was if I was ever going to have sex again,” she says.
The pair met in 1984 when Paulina was hired to appear in the music video for the Cars song Drive.
They began a torrid affair when she was 19 and he was 40. They got hitched in 1989, after his divorce was finalized, and had two sons, Jonathan, 29, and Oliver,
24.
Ric died at age 75 in 2019, shortly after they announced their separation. Initially, she was cut out of his will but fought it and now says, “The estate is settling with me.”
