DR. OZ IS TOO TOXIC FOR TV!

Can’t land gig after quitting to make failed run for Senate

-

HUFFY has-been Dr. Mehmet Oz is a two-time loser after his failed run for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania because the scandal-scarred Republican has discovered he’s a Hollywood outcast as he struggles in vain to salvage his abandoned broadcast career, insiders dish. Following his disastrous bid for the seat vacated by retiring GOP Sen. Pat Toomey — which saw Dr. Oz, 62, beaten by the state’s Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman — the oncepopular TV personality has realized former friends have turned their backs on him, sources snitch.

“He’s beating the bushes to revive his health-oriented talk show and groveling to everyone he knows to give I'm a break, but he's not making much progress,” spills an insider.

“He can’t even get a word with his former producers. Dr. Oz is a social creature who likes to hear himself talk, and it’s beginning to dawn on him that he’s just not wanted in Hollywood circles anymore.”

Before his leap into politics, the physician regularly scored lofty ratings with his popular health chatfest, The Dr. Oz Show, which ran from September 2009 through January 2022.

But sources claim his unsuccessful campaign cast an unwelcome spotlight on his questionable medical advice and his opinions came under negative scrutiny — badly damaging his reputation!

Other tipsters charge Dr. Oz’s name has become synonymous with impropriety. A recent scandal involving the cruel treatment of animals by a Columbia University team he oversaw between 1989 and 2010 did nothing to help his already tarnished image.

Critics also blasted his conservative run for the U.S. Senate as opportunistic and self-serving — as he had no real connection to the Keystone State — and claimed the longtime New Jersey resident only bought Pennsylvania property in December 2021 because of his political motives.

The former TV mainstay is also still locked in an ugly battle with sister Nazlim Oz over the multimillion-dollar fortune left by their late father, Mustafa Oz — a Turkish surgeon and investor who died three years ago.

“His sister’s accused him of stealing their father’s inheritance, while he’s accused her of forging their dad’s signature and hiding money away in Holland, India and the Cayman Islands,” reveals the insider.

“Either way, it’s another terrible stain on his name, and he may have no other choice but to return to his family’s native Turkey or somewhere else in Europe and start over on his own!”
