TV’S most popular morning news show has been rocked by reports of a shocking affair between two of its most popular — and married — personalities!
Good Morning America coanchors T.J. Holmes, 45, and Amy Robach, 49, have left their longtime spouses after a steamy months-long romance that’s thrown the show into turmoil, insiders dish. “Everyone on the set is stunned and shaken,” says a source close to the show. “It’s embarrassing to them all!” The lovestruck anchors have been caught on camera looking up-close and comfortable in a string of sexy sessions in New York City gin joints and weekend getaways! T.J. was caught patting Amy’s butt as they unpacked their car during a November getaway to an upstate New York mountain cottage.
They were also spotted boozing and schmoozing in a Manhattan saloon just blocks from the GMA studios!
“This is a bad look for the show, which obviously caters to a family audience,” notes a TV industry source.
While the disgraced duo reportedly split from their respective spouses in
August, sources exclusively tell The National ENQUIRER Amy’s husband, Andrew
Shue, 55, had hired a private investigator to track his wife and is now seeking a divorce. T.J.’s wife, 44-year-old attorney Marilee Fiebig, has not commented.
Ironically, Amy was dogged by rumors she had an affair with since-fired Today show horndog Matt Lauer before she left that program in 2012. “After all those rumors about her fooling around with Matt, it’s shocking that she would put herself in this situation,” dishes a GMA insider.
T.J. and Amy had an obvious on-air chemistry, and sources say the show staffers recently buzzed about their apparent intimacy.
Spies claim sparks started to fly when the two were training for the New York City Marathon last winter then caught fire when they were sent to cover the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in London in June.
Amy restricted comments on her Instagram page after
fans noticed she’d stopped posting photos of her hubby and ditched her wedding ring. T.J. deactivated his account altogether!
T.J. has a nine-year-old daughter with Marilee and another from a previous relationship, while Amy has two daughters from her first marriage. Andrew has three sons of his own.
An insider says lead anchor Robin Roberts is certain to be infuriated over her teammates’ raunchy romance. “Robin hates drama and scandal,” spills the source. “This doesn’t bode well for either Amy or T.J.”
