SUPERSTAR Taylor Swift is a married woman! Sources exclusively tell The National ENQUIRER the You Belong with Me singer secretly eloped with her hunky beau, Joe Alwyn, just days before the start of her new concert tour!
“Taylor and Joe have been together nearly seven years, which is Taylor’s longest relationship by a mile,” dishes a snitch. “They talked about getting married after Taylor’s tour ends in August, but Joe pressured her by saying, ‘Why wait?’”
The happy couple tied the knot in a quickie West Coast beachfront wedding with just a few friends in tow, according to spies who say the lovebirds are desperate to keep the ceremony under wraps.
Still, the 33-year-old thrush continues to publicly proclaim her love for actor Joe, 32, in a new song dedicated to him just before the start of her tour, which kicked off in Glendale, Ariz., on March 17. Taylor’s love song to Joe, All of the Girls You’ve Loved Before, marks a stark contrast to her famous, poison-pen tunes about her former boyfriends, including Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Joe Jonas and Tom Hiddleston. A source adds it served as the couple’s marriage song!
According to the spy, their elopement was perfect for low-key Englishman Joe — who is so tight-lipped he has never spoken publicly about their relationship.
“Joe hates the thought of prying eyes horning in on his romance with Taylor, and he feared any wedding they would have would turn into a three-ring circus,” a second source reveals.
“He was happy to just steal away and get married on the sly, and Taylor assured him she doesn’t feel cheated by not having a big wedding day.
“She says she gets enough attention in her life.”
As The National ENQUIRER exclusively reported, the only sticking point in the couple’s road to matrimony was the matter of a prenup. Taylor’s $570 million fortune dwarfs Joe’s $4 million, and her handlers were adamant that she protect her assets. But the Anti-Hero singer ultimately decided otherwise.
“Joe doesn’t want a cent of Taylor’s money, but he felt signing a prenup was like betting on failure,” explains the source. “And she came around to his way of thinking.
