GENTLEMAN John Travolta is working tirelessly behind the scenes to help heal the wounds of Elvis Presley’s fractured family, sources tell The National ENQUIRER!
Insiders dish the Look Who’s Talking star, 69, is in talks with both Elvis’ baby mom, Priscilla, and her granddaughter Riley Keough as they battle for control of the $550 million Presley fortune following the tragic Jan. 12 death of the rocker’s only child, Lisa Marie.
As The ENQUIRER reported, 77-year-old Priscilla has filed a legal challenge to her late daughter’s will, which was changed in secret and installed 33-year-old Riley as a trustee of the estate. Priscilla believes the will may have been forged — wrongly cutting her out of control over the money.
Now Travolta is calling for a truce after things got ugly when Riley locked her granny out of Elvis’ Memphis estate, Graceland. “John has been a part of the family for going on 50 years and he wants to be a peacemaker,” spills a source. “Lisa Marie’s death was tragic enough without having it tear the family apart!”
After meeting Priscilla in 1975, John mentored her as she joined the Church of Scientology two years later — and the two were also briefly romantically linked, sources claim. Lisa Marie always considered the Grease icon part of the family — even after she left the controversial religion in 2012 and confessed: “John is my last Scientology friend.” Travolta was the only prominent Scientologist to publicly comment on Lisa
Marie’s death at age 54, writing on Instagram: “Lisa baby girl, I’m so sorry. I miss you but know that I will see you again.”
A source explains Travolta “feels like it’s his duty” to help the family mend.
“John has been on the phone with Riley, on the phone with Priscilla, not only talking about Lisa Marie, but what she would have wanted,” squeals the insider.
“He knows things were frosty between Priscilla and Lisa Marie at the end, but he tells the surviving Presley women they need each other to get through these dark days!”
