INDY JONES KID STILL SEES DOOM LOOMING!
Oscar winner fears losing everything everywhere all at once!
SURPRISE Oscarnabbing actor Ke Huy Quan is terrified his big win will end in the crash of his career for a second time — leaving pals fearing he’s headed for a shattering breakdown!
The 51-year-old Everything Everywhere All at Once Best Supporting Actor winner was America’s darling when he stole the spotlight as Harrison Ford’s sidekick in 1984’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom — only to see his career become a barren wasteland for decades.
Now he’s petrified of losing it all again!
“Even though I just won an Oscar, I’m still really fearful of what tomorrow brings,” he admits.
The Vietnamese refugee has lived through terrible struggles. Insiders note after his early brush with fame cooled, he was heartbroken as he plunged back into obscurity.
Following his role in the Indiana epic, Quan hit it big again, co-starring with other soon-to-be household names Sean Astin and Corey Feldman in the 1985 cult classic The Goonies.
Quan’s future looked bright, but instead of climbing higher, he plummeted into years of small roles and shattered dreams, forcing him to follow a different career path behind the camera, working in film production from 1998 to 2018.
Recalling the dark years in his Oscar acceptance speech, Quan broke down in tears and later admitted he still doesn’t believe his good fortune after decades of forced anonymity.
“I had a conversation with my agent, and I said, ‘I’m so worried that this is only a onetime thing,’” Quan reveals.
“I’ve been down this road before, and I’m so afraid that history is going to repeat itself. I said, ‘Please, whatever you do, please make sure that does not happen.’”
Insiders say he’s seeking therapy and advice from pals for his nightmare fears he will lose it all again.
