MIKEY’S A BIGGER STAR THAN EVER!

-

GOONIES legend Sean Astin has apparently gained a whopping 75 pounds from his buff days playing a football star in the hit flick Rudy, and now health experts warn he may be eating his way into a grave. Medical experts estimate the 5-foot-6 actor’s weight at around 150 pounds when he starred in the 1993 flick about the Notre Dame football hero, but lifespan expert Dr. Gabe Mirkin tells The National ENQUIRER he believes the 52-year-old, who portrayed Mikey in The Goonies, is packing 225 pounds.

“With a big belly like that, it puts him at very high risk for diabetes and a heart attack!” says Mirkin. “He needs to make some serious lifestyle changes now before it’s too late!”

However, a source close to Sean insists the Lord of the Rings star weighs way less than 225 — while conceding he’s packed on some pounds — and his weight deliberately fluctuates for acting roles. Sean’s associate says he’s still running grueling triathlons and intends to compete in this year’s Boston

Marathon. In the past, he’s even bragged about toting extra pounds.

“Wow, look at how powerful I am, running 26.2 miles carrying 45 extra pounds the whole way, not quite carrying

Frodo up Mt. Doom. Heck it’s maybe more impressive,” he wrote on Facebook.

But Mirkin, who hasn’t treated Sean, advises the Stranger Things star to watch his diet and slim down.
