TRUMP’S REBEL

Orders private army into streets as he faces criminal prosecution

-

SEETHING former President Donald Trump has ordered his army of rabid supporters to take to America’s streets — pushing the nation to the brink of a bloody new civil war as he fears looming criminal charges may cage him for the rest of his life, critics claim.

Trump, 76, whipped his followers into a frenzy on social media by predicting his arrest was imminent in New York and urging them to “PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST” if he’s prosecuted! The sore loser also doubled down on his argument that President Joe Biden didn’t win the White House fair and square in 2020 by fuming, “The radical left anarchists have stolen our presidential election, and with it, the heart of our country.

“They’re killing our nation as we sit back & watch. We must save America … Take our nation back!” Sources gripe the beleaguered businessman’s bellyaching is fueling civil unrest — and putting democracy in peril — like he did in 2021 with his “fight like hell” speech before the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill insurrection, which left five people dead!

“The divisions in America are real today,” warns political analyst Mark Grimm. “While the average guy with a MAGA hat is not going to go down to Capitol Hill and start breaking windows, I would be concerned about what the far right will do in response to Trump’s situation.

“They’re armed. They’re organized. That’s what we saw at the Capitol [on Jan. 6]. That’s where the danger lies. How will they react and what will they do?”

Trump’s latest rants come as prosecutors in New York eye an alleged hush money payoff made to a porn star on his behalf before the 2016 presidential contest and Georgia officials examine potential 2020 election interference. A special counsel in Washington, D.C., is also investigating the ex-POTUS for fraud and insurrection in connection with the Capitol uprising.

As legal nooses appear to tighten around the bigmouth’s neck, die-hard supporters have expressed their outrage — with some even advocating for a “patriot moat” around Trump’s Mar-aLago headquarters in Florida to prevent his arrest!

One online zealot argues,

“We need to organize and take

over wherever they try to hold him. Make them surrender!” Meanwhile, another is calling for a “nationwide strike” to “bring society to a halt.” Trump supporter Stephanie Lu, 59, vows, “If there’s a civil war, I am fighting. I will fight with my life.”

Political consultant Hank Sheinkopf fears America may be at “a very dangerous moment.”

He explains, “You have people who feel totally alienated, and they believe that Trump is the messiah.

“How they react to his legal troubles is anyone’s guess — with the worst-case scenario going all the way up to attacks on public institutions in the same way we saw on January 6th.”

GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy cautions, “Our entire country is skating on thin ice right now, and we cannot afford to politicize the justice system or else we will reach our breaking point.”

Author and presidential historian Leon Wagener suggests a Trump arrest could be “the spark that lights the match on a national bonfire” because more than 50 percent of Republicans believe the last election was stolen — and Biden is an illegitimate president! “Americans are so far apart on issues of sexual politics, culture, abortion, guns and more that I could very well see Trump’s indictment and prosecution becoming a sort of modern-day Harpers Ferry,” he adds, referencing the 1859 precursor to America’s original Civil War.

“At the end of the day, there isn’t much difference between ‘protest, protest, protest’ and ‘fight like hell’ — what he said on January 6th,” argues Wagener. “And we all know how January 6th ended.”
