In fact, the only Voice contestant with a significant career is country king Morgan Wallen, who was booted by former coach Adam Levine — before the live performances in 2014!
In contrast, rival singing competition American Idol has generated superstars like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson along with scores of other acclaimed musicians. “The Voice honchos tear their hair out trying to figure out why the show can’t produce a breakout star,” says one music industry insider. “They blame the celebrity coaches for not nurturing the contestants to the point they are prepared to break big.”

The insider adds that if he doesn’t leave his ego at home, “they won’t hesitate to get rid of him too” — along with his reported $4 million annual paycheck!
