Claim church lies about using donations for charity works
THE Mormon Church is facing a moment of reckoning as it’s socked with several lawsuits claiming the Christian sect is fraudulently misusing member donations meant for charity to bolster its $100 BILLION coffers, critics say. In the most recently filed complaint, Gene and Michelle Judson charge the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints (LDS) lied about how they spent $40,000 of the
California couple’s hardearned cash!
Now the Judsons are demanding LDS return their dough in the fifth such legal action to emerge since October.
Mormons are pushed to cough up 10 percent of their annual income for good deeds such as missionary work, church construction and education.
The slew of suits follow an ongoing case brought by James Huntsman, who is demanding payback on the $5 million he’s forked over on moral grounds, claiming the money wasn’t used for the purposes he gave it.
As The National ENQUIRER reported in 2021, Huntsman accused LDS of secretly lining its own pockets by using the funds to develop a multibillion-dollar commercial real estate and insurance empire!
In August, an appeals court overturned a decision to dismiss the film distributor’s suit — paving the way for copycat claims.
Some insiders have bashed the accusations as baseless sour grapes.
Yet the lawsuits charge LDS outrageously spent $1.4 billion in tithing funds on a luxury mall in downtown Salt Lake City.
Late last year, The ENQUIRER also reported on disturbing claims accusing Mormon leaders of covering up vile child sex abuse — and quietly doling out millions in hush money to make damning civil suits disappear!
