GIRL, 7, SELLS LEMONADE TO BUY MOM’S GRAVE MARKER

Raises $10G after tragedy

-

ENTERPRISING Alabama sevenyear-old Emouree Johnson’s late mom was destined to lie in an unmarked grave — until the little go-getter turned very bitter lemons into a lemonade stand that’s earned more than $10,000 to buy a headstone!

Now 29-year-old Karli Bordner — who died in her sleep on March 13 — will have a fitting memorial thanks to her beloved daughter.

“It was all Emouree’s idea,” her proud grandma, Jennifer Bordner, 53, tells The National ENQUIRER. “She insisted on helping with her mommy’s headstone.

She told my brother to put her picture on Facebook, and people just started sharing it and it went viral.”

Firefighters, deputies, nurses and neighbors stopped by for a glass of homemade lemonade, which sold for $1 per cup at a stand outside Emouree’s Scottsboro home. But many patrons slipped the young entrepreneur extra cash — and multiple people gave the second grader $100 bills! In addition, several monument companies have offered to donate a headstone as the girl’s family struggles to cope with the tragedy.

“We still aren’t 100 percent sure what Karli died of,” her heartbroken mother explains. “They’re doing some testing. She was having really bad headaches, so they think she might’ve just had a brain aneurysm because she just went to sleep and never woke up.

“Karli was just an average single mom who struggled to make ends meet and was working hard to take care of her daughter.”

Jennifer reveals any money left over after the headstone’s purchase will be used to start a college fund for Emouree.
