WILLIAM AND SARAH TURNBAUGH

William and Sarah Turnbaugh have driven regularly across the U.S. to research Native American craft-arts for almost 50 years. Bill taught archaeology at the University of Rhode Island, where he is currently emeritus professor. Sarah has been a longtime curator of a Rhode Island museum. Since the 1980s, they have co-authored half a dozen books on Native American basketry and craft-arts.
