BEVERLY (BEAR KING) MORAN (STANDING ROCK SIOUX)

Native American Art - - BEADWORK/QUILLWORK -

Inspired by the geometric beadwork of the Northern Plains tribes, Beverly (Bear King) Moran creates dramatic northern traditional buckskin dresses and horse regalia by combining the traditions of the past with modern materials. Moran and her horse Midnight Dream exhibited at the 2018 Gathering of Nations Horse and Rider Parade as a part of revitalizing the tradition of dressing the Horse Nation. Moran sees Santa Fe Indian Art Market as a unique opportunity to share an appreciation of beadwork and the heritage of her Lakota relatives with people from around the world.
