Greetings and welcome to the 98th Santa Fe Indian Market! 2019 has been quite the ride so far. My staff and volunteers have worked very hard to bring you an event that you won’t forget. They take great pride in supporting Native American art and artists and although the work is hard, it is definitely rewarding when our artists succeed. A very special thank you goes out to our donors and sponsors. We could not do this without you!

As executive director, I have had many great experiences with artists, volunteers, politicians and the community of Santa Fe. Many of them express how much they look forward to Indian Market, or share their fondest memories with me. It is a really great feeling knowing that the Santa Fe Indian Market is an event many of you enjoy and make time for. We are so very grateful for your support, thank you!

I know firsthand how much work our artists put forth to have a successful Indian Market. Many times the art they create is a laborious experience for them. Showing your support and purchasing directly from Native artists is rewarding for both the purchaser and the artist. Many lifelong friendships are made while talking about a piece purchased. Many times this is the reward for the work the artist puts in and why many of them return year after year. The Santa Fe Indian Market brings people together to celebrate culture, history and tradition.

I truly hope you have a great experience at this year’s Santa Fe Indian Market. As we look to our 100th year and beyond we hope to always bring you the showcase you expect and more. Each year we grow in new and unique ways and we are happy you can experience it with us.
