MASCOLO, LOUISE

Louise Mascolo, age 93, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on December 6, 2018, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Mascolo Sr. Mrs. Mascolo was born in Rochester, NY on November 5, 1925, daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina Dell’Utri Passafiume. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was an active communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving son, Nicholas Mascolo, Jr. of Ansonia, a loving daughter, Mary Pellitteri (Vincent) of Oxford, cherished granddaughters, Lauren Nowakowski of Dallas, TX and Casey Nowakowski of New Haven and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Michael, Andrew, Carl and Louis Passafiume and sisters, Mary Johansson, Josephine Zuraw and Bessie Passafiume. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2018, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday, her funeral will begin at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in Mt.
