Quiet Christmas service offered

CHESHIRE — First Congregational Church of Cheshire offers a Quiet Christmas as an alternative way to welcome Christmas, with peace and hope rather than merrymaking.

Led by the Rev. Alison McCaffrey and specially trained Stephen Ministers, this contemplative, welcoming service will be held Thursday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. in the church.

It is open to all who are carrying any kind of a burden or loss at this season. Those who have lost a friend or family member are encouraged to bring a photo of the loved one to place on the communion table during the service.

First Congregational Church is located on the Green on Route 10 in the center of Cheshire. Parking is available behind the church.
