She was born on May 8, 1935 in New Haven, a daughter of the late Margaret and Elmo McMahon, of Hamden. She was married for many years to Charles “Chuck” Vanatta who passed away in 2002. Her family would like to thank the staff at Midstate Medical Center especially those on Pavilion C who cared for her during the last few days of her life. We will always be grateful for the kindness and respect given to her. She is survived by her brothers Al McMahon (Myrna) of Georgetown, SC and Jim McMahon (Linda) of Wallingford, CT and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly.
