1 The 23rd Annual Franciscan Golf Classic will be held at Tunxis Country Club in Farmington. This yearly event benefits the counseling and educational programs of the Franciscan Life Center and care of the sick and end of life care services of Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care. The day includes 18 holes of golf, lunch on the course, an outdoor dinner, and four chances to Win a Hole In One: $23,000 in cash, a trip for two to St. Andrews, Scotland or a trip for two to Augusta National in Augusta, Geeorgia. 1 The Community Health Network of CT Foundation, Inc. (CHNCTF) will hold its 13th Annual Cornell Scott Memorial Golf Classic at the beautiful Lake of Isles North Course at Foxwoods Resort Casino. The day begins with registration and lunch at 10:30 a.m., with a shot gun start at noon. Scramble format which includes an opportunity to win $10,000 on a hole-in-one. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place teams. The day ends with cocktails, buffet dinner, raffle and silent auction, and awards. Cost to play is $275 per golfer, or $1,100 per foursome. Sponsorship opportunities are available. 1 The 17th Annual United Way of Milford Golf Classic, to be held at Grassy Hill Country Club. Entry fee is $175 per golfer which includes golf, golf bag cooler, cart, a photo of your foursome, lunch, refreshments, gift bag and an invitation to our awards dinner. 1 The West Haven Penalty Box Club will be hosting the 15th annual Blue Devil Golf Classic at Orange Hill Country Club. Following breakfast and registration that begins at 7:30 the four-person, best ball tournament will tee off at 8:30. Lunch will be served at the turn, dinner, drinks and a raffle will follow the conclusion of play at the golf course. Cost for the day is $135 and 100 percent of the proceeds benefit the 2018-19 West Haven High School Boys Hockey Team. 1 Mothers Against Drunk Driving will be hosting the fourth annual “Golfers Gone MADD” golf tournament. It will be held at The Farms Country Club in Wallingford. Entry fee is $200 per golfer which includes brunch, golf, cart, dinner, prizes and golfers gifts.
