Twin Rinks: Learn to skate from the best

Celebrating 22 years as Fairfield County’s premier ice skating school

New Haven Register (Sunday) (New Haven, CT) - - EDUCATION OUTLOOK -

Twin Rinks is home to one of the nation’s largest U.S. Figure Skating® Learn to Skate USA programs, with group skating classes offered three days a week, year round.

All ages flock to our program for a simple reason: the quality of instruction. When you learn from the best, you build skills and confidence for a lifetime of skating fun!

Our one-of-kind classes are taught by the only fully certified professional coaching staff in New England.

Preschoolers (ages 3–5) learn skating basics in a fun, age-appropriate way in our Snowplow Sam classes. Six Basic levels (ages 6–17) cover fundamentals, from the first steps on the ice through more challenging skills.

Pre-Freestyle levels emphasize greater control and speed to help students prepare for a more serious figure skating program, including our Freestyle and Power Edge/Power Skating classes.

Robert Rode, General Manager of Twin Rinks, believes Twin Rinks’ Learn to Skate

USA program’s success reflects Twin Rinks’ commitment to a nurturing, communityoriented environment.

“Our goal is to share our passion for skating with our Learn to Skate students,” Mr. Rode said. “We want to pass along that love of the sport to everyone who joins our classes, whether they want to skate recreationally or become competitive figure skaters and hockey players.”

Our one-of-kind classes are taught by the only fully certified professional coaching staff in New England.

A fixture in Fairfield County’s skating community for 21 years, Twin Rinks — located in Stamford’s Springdale neighborhood— is accessible from the Merritt Parkway and I-95.

Registration is now open for 2018 Fall classes at www.StamfordTwinRinks.com.
