Joseph H. Kasparek, Jr., 89, for­merly of Mil­ford, CT, hus­band of Àn­gela Kasparek, passed away peace­fully on Novem­ber 17, 2018. Born on June 16, 1929 in Bridge­port, he was the son of the late Joseph, Sr. and He­lean Kasparek.

Joe grad­u­ated from Teach­ers Col­lege, Columbia Uni­ver­sity with a Mas­ter’s de­gree in School Ad­min­is­tra­tion. He be­gan work­ing for the New York City Board of Ed­u­ca­tion as a mu­sic teacher and af­ter work­ing for many years he re­tired as the Prin­ci­pal of P.S. 298 in Brook­lyn, New York. Joe en­joyed lis­ten­ing to mu­sic and col­lect­ing an­tiques: old tins, signs and light­ing fix­tures. He also loved to travel.

Along with his lov­ing wife, Joe is sur­vived by his son, Robert; daugh­ter-in-law An­gelina; grand­chil­dren, Geth­se­mane Rose, Hezekiah, and Ela-Gouyen; sis­terin-law, An­to­nia; broth­ers-in-law, Peter and John; and many nieces and neph­ews, and great nieces and neph­ews and friends.

A Mass of Chris­tian Burial will be cel­e­brated on Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 5, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Agnes Church, 400 Mer­win Ave., Mil­ford. In­ter­ment will fol­low at Kings High­way Ceme­tery, 271 Cherry St., Mil­ford. Fam­ily and friends may call on Tues­day, De­cem­ber 4, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CODYWHITE FU­NERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street Mil­ford, CT 06460.
