Temetra “Eve­lyn” Lind­sey, 78, de­parted this life on Novem­ber 28, 2018. She was born on De­cem­ber 9, 1939 to the late Richard and Bessie (Good­son) Lon­don. Temetra was a res­i­dent of Ansonia CT and was a long-time mem­ber of Evan­gel Tem­ple. She was a Su­per­vi­sor at Uniroyal in Nau­gatuck CT, she worked and re­tired from Pratt and Whit­ney. Af­ter re­tire­ment, she was a care­giver for the el­derly. She also was the for­mer Pres­i­dent for the J.A.T. Schol­ar­ship Fund Com­mit­tee. She leaves to cher­ish her mem­ory, daugh­ters, Ros­alind Lind­sey, and Jill Lind­sey (John) both from Ansonia CT, her lovely sis­ter and best friend in life Ser­ena “Dot” Mills; 4 grand­chil­dren, 3 great-grand­chil­dren, 4 god chil­dren and a host of nieces, neph­ews, rel­a­tives and friends, who all were spe­cial to her heart. In ad­di­tion to her par­ents and lovely com­pan­ion Ernest M. Grant, she was also pre­de­ceased by 3 broth­ers and 3 sis­ters. A cel­e­bra­tion of her life will take place on Tues­day, De­cem­ber 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at The Evan­gel Tem­ple, 38 Jack­son Street, Ansonia, CT. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at church be­fore the ser­vices. Burial will fol­low at Pine Grove Ceme­tery.
