Artwalk: Stroll through dowtown Stamford galleries
Downtown Stamford will be bustling on Friday, June 22, for the 6th annual Artwalk.
Hosted by Stamford Downtown, the event features more than 100 painters, photographers, sculptors and multimedia artists, all reflecting a diverse selection of mediums, styles and trends in the contemporary art world. Most of the artwork will be available for purchase.
The public is invited to come meet the participating artists, while enjoying music performances and related activ- ities along the Artwalk route.
Participants include: R. Hollander: Master Goldsmith Gallery & Studio Workshop, featuring Russ Hollander, Jane Cowles and Bob Capazzo with “Porcelain, Paper & Platinum”; Fernando Luis Alvarez Gallery with “Opioid, Express Yourself”; The Ferguson Library Gallery (3rd floor auditorium) with “Memories of Stories”; The Loft Artists Pop Up Gallery at UConn Stamford with “A 40th Year Celebration”; the UConn Stamford Campus Art Gallery: Theresa Kasun with “The Food Show”; Stamford Art Association: “New Members Show” and “Nadia Martinez Solo Show”; Franklin Street Works: “My Vicious Throbbing Heart: Animating Desire in Abstract Painting,” curated by Risa Puleo.
Visitors can pick up an Artwalk passport at the Ferguson Library. All gallery visits will earn a stamp in the passport. Collect all seven stamps and return your passport to the Ferguson to be entered into a drawing.
