CZAPLICKI, DOROTHY

Dorothy Loretta Fitzmaurice Czaplicki of Branford died at her home on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. She was the beloved wife of 48 years to Peter Czaplicki of Branford. Dorothy was born April 10, 1948 in Waterbury, daughter of the late James and Ethel Johnson Fitzmaurice. She worked as a retail clerk for many different stores including Robbins Package Store and A&P Foodmart. Dorothy was an avid bowler, bowling in many leagues, but most of all she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son Gary (Kristen) Czaplicki of Branford; her former daughter-in-law Sandi Czaplicki Conway of Branford; grandchildren, Leanna and Logan; her brothers, John Bonatti and Michael Bonatti of Florida and her sister Ann Fitzmaurice of New Haven. She was predeceased by her brothers, James Fitzmaurice and Joseph Bonatti and her sisters Edna Hribour and Patricia Fitzmaurice.

Visiting hours are Sunday afternoon from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Friends and relatives are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Monday morning at 11:00 in St. Mary Church at St. John Bosco Parish, 731 Main St., Branford.
