Altice USA unit on the block

A Wall Street investment banking firm reported Altice USA is considering a sale of its Lightpath division that provides broadband services to businesses in southwestern Connecticut and elsewhere, according to the telecommunications website Light Reading. Cowen & Co. analysts said any sale of Lightpath could bring between $3 billion and $4 billion in gross proceeds for Altice USA, which offers Optimum broadband services in the greater New York City region.
